Mission Statement
The Highlands Ranch Historical Society, a nonprofit organization established in 1991, aims to educate the public about the rich history of Highlands Ranch and to instill pride in Highlands Ranch residents about their community’s historical significance. HRHS conducts outreach through monthly programs and community activities and is also a valuable resource of historic archival information

Community Outreach
HRHS community outreach: Monthly Programs, Tours, speaking at schools and community groups, participation in the HRCA Ranch Days at the Mansion, the HRCA Volunteer Fair and July 4 Parade, the HRMD Health and Information Fair, the HRMD Senior Day at the Park, the Douglas County Fair, the Eastern Colorado Historical Societies Meeting and participation in the judging of the Douglas County History Contest.
Overview of the Organization
Established in 1991, the Highlands Ranch Historical Society is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501c3 organization. The primary objective of the HRHS is to provide monthly educational and entertaining programs with a historical focus; identify, preserve, enhance, and promote historical places and people in Highlands Ranch; and participate in a wide variety of community outreach activities including Highlands Ranch schools, organizations and events. Many of our members are Docents for the Highlands Ranch Mansion.
The Historical Society meets on the third Monday at the Highlands Ranch Southridge Recreation Center, 4800 McArthur Ranch Road in Highlands Ranch.
Light refreshments and socializing - 6:30 p.m. Programs - 7 - 8:30 p.m. Programs are free for members (nominal fee to become a member) or a suggested contribution of $2 per person for non-members.
