John Anderson, author and presenter, will lead the easy hike/walk around beautiful Fox Run Regional Park, in Black Forest, North Colorado Springs, to see many Ute Indian Prayer Trees. This tour will follow a different trail thru Fox Run, to see trees not seen on the July Field Trip. Transportation is on your own to the venue, in North Colorado Springs/Black Forest. We will meet in the parking lot of Pavilion 4, Pine Meadows area. . Detailed driving directions will be provided before the field trip. Visit the park website for video, photos, and more info. Suggest bringing a brown bag lunch to enjoy on your own after the tour. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. A walking stick is helpful. The overall trail is easy, but we will be going a short distance off-trail to get up close and personal with the trees. http://adm.elpasoco.com/CommunityServices/ParkOperations/Pages/FoxRunRegionalPark.aspx Click HERE for the Fox Run Park Map
