Families, Farming and Fermentation
The Historical Society teamed up with Metro Districts, to present this unique program onsite at the Cheese Ranch.
Entitled FAMILY, FARMING, AND FERMENTATION, the program covered these topics from a historical perspective, and included onsite sampling of Cheeses as would have been made at the ranch, including Limburger and Brick Cheese (along with a few more tasty types!), and beer made in a manner similar to the beer that might have been made at Cheese Ranch. Guest speakers and providers of the goodies were Rob, from Grist Brewery, and Julie, from Whole Foods.
Laura Lacerte, Metro Districts Park Ranger, and David Parks, Metro District Recreation Supervisor, were the brains and brawn behind the program.
All in attendance agreed, a very tasty and interesting evening under the windmill on the Big Dry Creek Cheese Ranch!
