HR Then and Now: The 70'S-Decade of change, and the Arapahoe Hunt Club

Speakers: Lawrence Phipps III,  G. Marvin Beeman, DVM.  Moderated by Meg Anderson & John Lake

Lawrence Phipps III, son of the last resident of the Mansion, will relate Highlands Ranch and Mansion events of the 1970's, the decade of major change for this community. This includes the death of Lawrence Phipps Jr, 40 year resident of the mansion, and the sale of the ranch to Marvin Davis, followed by the sale to Mission Viejo. The filming of Centennial at Highlands Ranch will be discussed.

Marvin Beeman, DVM,  Joint Master and Huntsman (Honorary) of the Arapahoe Hunt Club, will relate exciting tales of the hounds and the horses in Highlands Ranch, up to and including the modern day Arapahoe Hunt Club.

This very special program about life and events here in HR will be moderated by Meg Anderson and John Lake, HRHS members and Mansion Docents.

 Members are FREE  $2 Suggested for Non-members
